Fonterra

Sabtu lepas saya telah mengikuti satu talk anjuran Fonterra Brands (M) Sdn Bhd bertempat di Hotel Grand Paragon JB . Okey. Memang mengagau la nak carik hotel ni kat mana. Penat dah google kat internet. Tapi tak faham jugak. Tanya kat GPS bergerak (EF) pun sampai dah naik hilang sabar dah orang tu. HAHAHAHA. Siap bagi ugutan lagi 'Lepas ni kalau kat JB you bawak kereta ok'. Tak takut la setakat ugutan tu. Mesti nanti you tak sampai hati nak suruh I bawak kereta kan.

Basically it is a talk related to pregnancy. The topics are Nutrition for Healthy Pregnancy and Big Babies given by AP Dr Zalilah Mohd Sharif. To cut it short, these are few important points (well, considered it as points I managed to write as it was Saturday afternoon and I was sleepy).

  • Preparation of pre-pregnancy includes ideal body weight, balanced diet, physically active, regular medical care, manage any chronic condition and avoid harmful substances
  • Weight gained during pregnancy is due to placenta, uterus, breasts, increase in blood supply and fluid volume and the infant itself
  • Recommended weight gain is personalised according to BMI. For normal BMI, it is around 12-16 kg (Damn, I hit it already!).
  • The more weight you gained during pregnancy, the more likely to retain more weight post partum
  • Overweight and obese women are more likely to maintain excess weight after labour
  • Vitamin C enhabces iron absorption from food and not from supplements (I have no worries that my clinic has run out Vitamin C these few days)
  • Vitamin D can be obtained from 5-10 min sun exposure between 10 am to 3 pm. Ok siapa sanggup?
  • Big babies(more than 4 kg with extra fat) is caused by uncontrolled maternal blood sugar level, pre-pregnancy obesity, excessive weight gain and others such as gender or birth order (lupa apa point ni)
  • Do not attempt to lose weight during pregnancy
Ok yang lain tak ingat sebab perut dah lapar dan mata mengantuk. Oh, by the way, Fonterra is the company for Anmum's milk range.
